The purpose of the school was to advance knowledge and skills in emancipatory practice development, focusing specifically on end of life care. The programme was developed in conjunction with the International Practice Development Collaborative.

The report details the background of the summer school, processes and tools used, and evaluates the programme with input from participants and facilitators.
