Marian Finucane launches Network of Champions for Change

The chairs and deputy-chairs of Standing Committees on Dying, Death and Bereavement from over 20 hospitals met in Naas on March 1-2 to form a new Network of Champions for Change. This meeting was chaired by IHF Board member, Ms. Marian Finucane, who officially launched the Network. The group met again on May 18^th, prior to the National Conference, to discuss terms of reference, membership and the range of supports that they will need form the HFH Programme. Una Marren, Assistant-Director of Nursing at the Mater Hospital, is acting as convenor for the group for 2010. The most recent meeting took place in Athlone where over 30 hospital representatives were in attendance.  The group are scheduled to meet again in early October.
