The Seminar
With the ongoing reorganisation of hospitals and continuing efforts to integrate acute and primary services, an opportunity now exists to develop the vision of a network of service providers and partnerships which will provide coordinated quality end-of-life care linking home, hospice and hospital.
The development of an ethical approach is central to efforts to provide quality end-of-life care. It is also an area in which all care providers can work and learn together as they engage with the sometimes complex issues involved. This process will be greatly assisted by the provision of resources such as the Ethical Framework for End-of-Life Care which has been developed for the HFH Programme by UCC and RCSI.
The conference will be of interest to:
All involved, directly or indirectly, in providing or planning care at the end of life whether in hospital, hospice, home or long-term care facility in the HSE South Region and those with a particular interest in ethical issues relating to end-of-life care.
